Welcome to Your Perfect Wedding Day!
I am a proud celebrant with Celebrants Scotland, and I was put on this earth to make your wedding day as magical, romantic, and unforgettable as it should be.
Whatever your wedding dream is, I’ll help you create the most romantic, unique, and personalised ceremony which totally reflects your love story and dreams, and which your friends will be talking about for years to come.
Weddings and Elopements from £595
Vow Renewals and Commitment Ceremonies from £400
From initial contact, to the Big Day.
Planning your wedding will be relaxed and fun. The most important part for me is really getting to know you, and understanding the love you share, your personalities, and all the special things that make your story yours.
We'll have a few meetings, and I'll guide you through everything so you can feel completely at ease, knowing that on the day you've got your biggest wedding champion standing right there with you, telling your story in all it's unique glory to the people who matter most.
And throughout it all, I'm always there for you, offering advice, calming any nerves, helping with personal vows if you'd like to include them, or suggesting meaningful rituals if you're unsure of further personal touches to add.
After you first get in touch, we’ll arrange a Discovery Call.
This is where you’ll learn what I can do for you, and if we’re a good fit for each other. This is important as I want couples that work with me to feel relaxed and that they're able to trust me on such an important day in their lives!
The next step is to put down an initial payment of £140 to secure your date
You’ll also be sent a Wedding Pack - this has information on how to structure your wedding and ideas of elements you may, or may not, want to add to your wedding. A WhatsApp group will also be set up for easy contact.
This is around 9 - 12 months ahead of the wedding date.
This is where we’ll talk about the structure you want your wedding to take, who the wedding party and witnesses are, and the elements you may have chosen to include within your ceremony.
This is around 1 - 3 months after the First Ceremony Planning Meeting.
This is where I have the privilege to hear your love story and learn about the love and laughter you share, your personalities, and all the fun that fills your lives. Having a good understanding of you as a couple allows me to create a ceremony that is not only truly unique and personal, but also beautifully meaningful and memorable.
This is where I send you some further questions to answer
This is the fun bit as it’s about you as a couple! This allows me to know more about the romantic and fun sides of your relationship. I'll also send each of you some secret questions to answer so that there’s some elements in the ceremony that’ll be a surprise to one another! After this I can start writing your ceremony.
Exactly 3 months before the wedding day.
This is when it’s time to sort out the legal paperwork for the wedding. I’ll provide you with instructions on how to do this and where to submit your paperwork.
One month before the wedding day.
We’ll have a final meeting to talk through the ceremony and everything it will contain and who is doing what, for example the best man, ringbearer, etc.
I have various roles during the wedding day to make things go smoothly.
On the day I’ll arrive 60 - 90 minutes ahead of the ceremony time to liaise with the other suppliers (e.g. coordinators, photographers, videographers) so that everyone knows how the ceremony will flow and what’s contained within it. I’ll also obtain the marriage schedule and check to make sure everything is in order from a legal standpoint before the wedding begins.
Most importantly, I'll be there to check in with you both, calm any nerves, and make sure everything is absolutely perfect for you.
How It Works:
Why choose me for your ceremony?
As a legally authorised marriage officer with Celebrants Scotland, I have the wonderful privilege of marrying couples anywhere in Scotland, at any time you choose. Whether it's a stunning castle, a cosy woodland, a beach at sunset, your garden, or even your own living room.
I believe your wedding ceremony should be a rue reflection of your personalities, your love, and the journey that has brought you together. That's why I work closely with you to create a ceremony that's completely unique and personalised.
You'll be hard pushed to find someone who loves a wedding more than me! I love love! Whatever your dream wedding looks like, I'll help bring your fabulous vision to life.

Our planning meetings were always so comfortable and fun - like meeting up and chatting with an old friend. We would always come away from chatting to Sara remembering what the big day was all about, no more stressing about favours/weather/napkins! We’re so grateful for the time and care Sara took in learning about us as a couple and our love story, and it so paid off on the day with the most special and personal ceremony - truly our highlight of the day.

Making your day happen, the way you want it to.
From personal and romantic vows, to special and unique rituals, together we will create a ceremony that feels as special as your love for each other.
This could include Scottish traditions such as Handfasting, an Oathing Stone or a Quaich Toast. Or what about including your special furry family members on your special day? You could have your very own 'dog of honour' or 'canine ring bearer', or hire a dog chaperone to bring them in for photos.
Or maybe you're still uncertain of what you want, don't worry at all, we'll talk through options and ideas that interest you and form your perfect ceremony together.

Scottish Wedding Traditions
Quaich Ceremony
The Quaich Ceremony is a beautiful ancient Scottish tradition, dating back to the time of the clans. It represents love, trust and unity, and sharing a drink from the Quaich is a truly special moment, your very first drink as a married couple. Traditionally, whisky is used, but you can drink anything that reflect you both perfectly.
Handfasting Ritual
The origin of the phrase "tying the knot", Handfasting is another ancient Celtic tradition where the couples hands are bound together with ribbons, chords, or fabric (sometimes to match the outfits they're wearing), they then pull away to form a cross between them. It represents unity, love, and commitment to one another.
Oathing Stone
An ceremony using an Oathing Stone is where the couple places their hands on a stone while they say their vows. The stone can be chosen from a place that is meaningful to the couple and it represents your promises being "set in stone". You can involve guests where they can hold the stone beforehand to bless it.
If you're still hunting for that dream venue, East Lothian has everything to offer.
A wedding in the beautifully restored Harbour Chapel in Dunbar, a ceremony with glamping at Harvest Moon in Tynninghame, or a breathtaking 15th century church with sea views at Dunglass Estate - East Lothian has a massive variety of venues and vendors at your disposal.
Having lived and worked in the area, I can vouch that a wedding in East Lothian doesn't disappoint. Feel free to check out my blog for more ideas or get in touch and we'll start planning!
